Classes

Hi Herb,

It's likely not going to be until sometime after MetalMeet, which is Oct. 16th-22nd, I believe.

I may try having something around mid-Nov., hopefully before the weather turns too bad, but, you never know what we may get that time of year.

Is there some information on the classes that you give? Are they set-up for those of us that are really amatures, or do they require considerable knowledge?

Hi Aaron,

They aren't really "classes", as far as that goes. they are actually Regional MetalMeets. I don't have time to teach structured classes at this time, but every few months we do have a weekend get together where a few of the members of MetalMeet gather in my shop to beat on some metal and have a good time. Anyone is welcome, of course, not just metalMeet members.

Well... I was wondering how in the world you had time for classes on top of everything else. LOL

I have always been able to somehow end up with a finished product, but the way I go about it is probably not what most would do. I could definately use some kind of guidance.

You had better hurry up and have one before I screw my back up again!!

Not sure if I can make Dougs or not, but if you have one soon (before I spend all my money on Christmas) will try to make it.

Hi Phil,

I've been thinking about having another get together here sometime soon.

I wonder how the weekend directly following Thanksgiving would work. Most folks should be able to get Friday off work, so maybe that would work out well. I'll kick it around a bit and clear it with the boss.

That should be easier when the shop is at home. Years ago, I had a repair shop. My wife complained that I spent all of my time at the shop, and was never home. Last year, I spent 6 months working at home. She never had that same complaint. LOL

Hi Folks,

We're planning a get together here at Ferguson Coachbuilding world headquarters November 23-24, 2007. That's the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving.

We'll have plenty of sheetmetal shaping to do.

We plan on cooking up a batch of chili and if the weather isn't too bad, maybe we'll have a little campfire in the evening and roast a few weiners. hey...chili dogs....now that sounds good!

We could. I was thinking we would probably be working on a Willys front end. Fenders, center section and hood, but we have a lot to do on the '39 body too.

Hi Randy. I may not be able to attend after all..the afternoon after I posted I found out that I only have 6 weeks worth of Unemployment left then I will have zero income until April. Have some apps out, and am trying to figure out a way to come as starting a new job will probably nix MM08 next year too. Will make it if possible. Stupid cheese is starting to petrify!
